If your channels and accounting software are on an app’s list, use the app. A2X for Shopify starts at US$29 a month for up to 200 orders, Link My Books at $24 for the same on one channel, and Webgility at $69 billed annually. A build fits when payouts have to post to software none of them lists, or the matching rules are your own.123

A payout nets fees, refunds and adjustments out of sales, so the deposit never equals the sales number. A2X posts one summary entry per payout that matches the deposit, and Link My Books sends a summary invoice for each payout.45
Is Link My Books cheaper than A2X?
At listed prices, yes at every volume in the calculator above. For up to 2,000 orders on one Shopify store, A2X Professional is US$79 a month and Link My Books is $56 for up to 2,500. A2X lists NetSuite and Sage; Link My Books lists Xero and QuickBooks Online.126
Does A2X work with Sage?
A2X’s integrations FAQ says yes and its homepage lists Sage, without naming which Sage product. Its channel pricing cards list QuickBooks Online, Xero or NetSuite.469
When is a custom build worth it for payouts?
When your accounting software isn’t on an app’s list, or an app can’t hold your mapping. A build posts each payout matched to its deposit with the mapping your bookkeeper approves, and puts every line that doesn’t match in front of a person. It is a one-time fixed price, quoted after we review the workflow.
