A bill to replace

What is an alternative to Zapier when the bill keeps growing?

Many automation platforms, Zapier, Make and n8n Cloud among them, charge by usage, so the bill follows your volume. You have three ways to lower it: move to a cheaper plan or another platform, tidy the automations so fewer steps run, or replace the busiest few with a small custom workflow that costs a steady amount to run. The third makes sense only when a few automations account for most of the bill.

Find where the bill comes from

  • Open the usage report and sort by tasks, runs or credits, whichever your vendor counts.
  • Write down the five busiest automations and what each one does.
  • Look for loops, retries and steps that run when nothing has changed.
  • Check your vendor's current pricing page for how your plan counts usage.

Three ways to lower it

  • Change plan or platform. The quickest fix, and often enough.
  • Tidy the automations. Merge steps, add filters so they run only when something changed, and delete the ones nobody uses.
  • Replace the busiest few with a custom workflow. It has a build price and a steady running cost, so it only pays when the busy ones really drive the bill.

What a custom replacement asks of you

A custom workflow needs someone to watch it and to update it when the tools it connects change their rules. A platform does that for you. Count that work, or the cost of having someone do it, before you decide.

How LOJIK looks at it

Send LOJIK the list of automations and their monthly usage. LOJIK looks at the bill they add up to and tells you plainly whether a replacement would pay for itself, a cheaper platform is enough, or tidying is the answer. A person sets the price, and you approve it before anything starts.

When LOJIK is not the right fit

LOJIK is probably not the right choice if:

  • Your bill is small or flat.
  • You have dozens of different automations that each run rarely. A platform fits that shape well.
  • You add new connections every week and need a library of ready-made ones.
  • Nobody can say what the current automations do. Write that down first.

What working with LOJIK costs

Start with a free plan on screen. A person then sends a price set for your business, and nothing starts until you approve it in writing.

  • The plan: free

Describe the problem and the plan fills in as you answer: the fix, what it includes and how long it takes.

  • Workflow Review: USD 1,500

For when you are not sure what to fix. One week on one task, ending in a written recommendation: build the fix, change how the work is done instead, or stop. If you go ahead with the fix within 30 days, the full fee counts toward its price.

  • Sprint: from USD 5,000

A scoped, priced, finished system built around how your business works. A person sets the price after reading your plan and gives the reason for each line.

  • Operate (we run it for you): a monthly plan per live workflow

LOJIK keeps the finished system online, watched and fixed, with small changes included. Optional, and you can cancel any month.

Prices are in US dollars. Companies in Mexico pay IVA on top.

How the work is done

What you can count on, whichever door you come in through.

  • You approve every quote.

A person at LOJIK sends a written price with the reason for each line. Nothing starts until you approve it.

  • A person answers.

Send your plan and a person at LOJIK replies within one business day. If we are not the right team, we tell you.

Questions

Is a custom workflow more reliable than an automation platform?

Not by itself. A platform has many users and a support team. A custom workflow is reliable when it is tested, watched and maintained, so ask who watches it and what happens when it fails.

Can I keep some automations on the platform?

Yes. Replace the ones that drive the bill and keep the rest where they are.

Who is told when it fails?

That is agreed in the scope. With Operate, LOJIK watches the workflow and fixes it.

How much does LOJIK cost?

The plan is free. A Workflow Review is USD 1,500, and the full fee counts toward the fix if you go ahead within 30 days. A Sprint starts at USD 5,000. Operate, where LOJIK runs the system for you, is a monthly plan per live workflow. A person sets the final price for your business, and you approve it in writing before anything starts.

Product names belong to their owners. LOJIK is not affiliated with them, and they are named only to say what they are.

Describe the problem. See the plan.

It takes about 3 minutes on screen, and a person at LOJIK reads it before any price.
