A problem to describe
How much does custom software for a small business cost?
It depends mostly on how many systems the software touches and how many people rely on it, not on how big the idea sounds. One workflow between two tools costs far less than a portal that several teams and customers use. A fair quote gives the price in writing, with a reason for each line, before work starts. LOJIK's own entry prices are further down this page.
What moves the price
- How many systems it connects.
- How many people use it, and how much work runs through it.
- Whether only your team uses it or your customers do too.
- How many exceptions the rules have. The standard case is cheap; the unusual cases are not.
- Who runs it after launch.
How builders charge
By the hour, the final number stays open until the work ends. At a fixed price per scoped piece, you know the number before you start, and a change is priced as a change. By subscription, you pay every month for a product that stays the vendor's. Each puts the risk in a different place, so choose the one whose risk you can live with.
How to compare quotes
- Ask for the scope in sentences you understand.
- Ask what is not included.
- Ask what a change costs.
- Ask who owns the result and who runs it.
- Compare the monthly cost after launch, not only the build.
How LOJIK sets a price
A person at LOJIK reads your plan and sends a price set for your business. It depends on what the fix does for you, how much work runs through it and the size of your team, and it gives the reason for each line. You can pay all at once for a lower price, or in parts as each version is ready. Returning clients get a better price on each new fix.
When LOJIK is not the right fit
LOJIK is probably not the right choice if:
- You need a number today without describing the problem. LOJIK prices after reading the plan.
- Your budget is below the Sprint's starting price in the cost section. A no-code tool or a freelancer may fit better.
- You want to pay by the hour.
- The work is small enough that a checklist or a spreadsheet already solves it.
What working with LOJIK costs
Start with a free plan on screen. A person then sends a price set for your business, and nothing starts until you approve it in writing.
The plan: free
Describe the problem and the plan fills in as you answer: the fix, what it includes and how long it takes.
Workflow Review: USD 1,500
For when you are not sure what to fix. One week on one task, ending in a written recommendation: build the fix, change how the work is done instead, or stop. If you go ahead with the fix within 30 days, the full fee counts toward its price.
Sprint: from USD 5,000
A scoped, priced, finished system built around how your business works. A person sets the price after reading your plan and gives the reason for each line.
Operate (we run it for you): a monthly plan per live workflow
LOJIK keeps the finished system online, watched and fixed, with small changes included. Optional, and you can cancel any month.
Prices are in US dollars. Companies in Mexico pay IVA on top.

Questions
Why not give a price before I describe the problem?
Two businesses with the same words for the problem can have very different systems, volumes and exceptions. A price without those is a guess. The plan takes about 3 minutes and the price follows from it.
Is a monthly subscription cheaper than custom software?
It can be, for a simple job. Compare the total over the years you expect to use it, including per-user and per-usage charges, with the build price plus the cost of running it.
What does it cost after launch?
Running it is your choice. Your team can run it, LOJIK can run it for you, or LOJIK hands it over step by step. You agree which in writing before launch.
How much does LOJIK cost?
